Becky, Michael, Sabah and myself went and I will let them comment on their foods.
My thoughts:
I really liked it. It felt nice to dress up and go to a restaurant, and they have a perfect location in downtown Durham with two sides of the building being windows so you can see out. It looks very urban, but in a very dainty sort of way. I absolutely loved the ambiance and the environment. Some of the decor is a little chintzy french, but the lighting was perfect, the staff was knowledgeable and the food, delicious. I had a locally grown salad for my first course, brussels sprouts with homemade bacon and cheese, and the NC Snapper for my main. Now, I am not usually a Snapper fan, it's a fish I find either comes out great, or is too fishy. It was perfect. The portions were decent, and with three courses we were all stuffed.
All in all, I would definitely go back.
pictures to come.

Michael looking intense (Good luck in the Marines!!)

I also liked Rue Cler. The food was pretty good and the staff was knowledgeable and nice. I had the duck with rabbit sausage on a bed of potatoes. It looked nice, smelled good and above all was flavorful.
I went back to Rue Cler couple of days later to try their brunch and was amazed how good the crepes were. I will definitely go back soon.
Michael and I got the venison, which was ground and wrapped in a layer of fat. It was flavorful and moist and we were both glad we tried it.
